Immersive Streaming | Artist
Both Tidal and Apple Music offer an immersive listening experience for audiophiles. Below are many of the Dolby Atmos albums streamed by one or both of these music services. Additionally, Apple Music has also included 5.1 surround 4.0 quad mixes under the Dolby Audio codec, the logo looks nearly identical at first glance, but these immersive mixes lack the height speakers and generally are legacy mixes from the 1970’s through the 2000’s.
Also, it is important to note, these streams may not be permanent, and at the time of posting the album was available as an immersive listening experience but may have been removed at a later date. As a collector and enthusiast of physical media, it is my preference to see these releases made available on Blu-ray, SACD, DVD-Audio, or even as a download option. In fact, some of the titles below have or still are available in physical formats. Furthermore, some immersive streams are only available in specific countries, as segmented by the Country Code list.

Dolby Labs Functional Testing
Dolby Labs has created a convenient channel tester that includes some music samples that take advantage of the capabilities of Atmos. The tracks on this program include 5.1 surround, 7.1 surround, and 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, with this final channel ID mapping based on your home theater configuration. While Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos are functionally different, they channel mapping should be identical, and these tests aid in confirming proper speaker setup. Yet, this doesn't cover distance and EQ room adjustment, as that is typically managed by automated setup functions in many popular electronics brands.
