Hazar is one of the very few musicians who have managed to become a virtuoso on two completely different musical instruments. On his debut 2009 album “Virtuoso” accompanied with bassist Carles Benavent, he demonstrated an exemplary technique by playing pieces by Chick Corea, Bach, Mozart and Paganini’s Caprice on three strings and was regarded as ‚The Paganini of Saz. Then after a concert when speaking with guitarist John McLaughlin, John commented on his album saying, “If you want to show your skills, you should play guitar.” Within a very short time Hazar switch to guitar, noting in an interview, “I had nothing more to tell with the saz.” He subsequently was able to play the guitar at the highest level and recorded his 2020 album “Reincarnated” with special guest world renowned fusion guitarist Al Di Meola.
Following in the footsteps of his inspiration, Paco de Lucia, Hazar shows an outstanding virtuosity, alternating with sonorous melodies, fast solo lines and breathtaking technique, while adding new emotional depth to his playing.
