“Abiogenesis” is the latest high-resolution surround sound single from David Delbridge. The dark ambient Instrumental provides another immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound experience.
Following his debut single, “Heat Death,” this new surround track assures a return to the artist’s eerie world, this time with a tonal plot twist. “If ‘Heat Death’ was the end, ‘Abiogenesis’ is the rebirth, explains Delbridge. “Both tracks are decidedly dark, but here, the melody offers a trace of hope amidst the electronic gloom and doom.”
The track was composed and produced single-handedly by Delbridge and exhibits the artist’s competence on a variety of musical instruments including: electric guitars, electric bass, acoustic and electric pianos, and a variety of “treasured” analog synthesizers. One can immediately tell Delbridge is fascinated with the surroundscape as sounds shoot in from the rear speakers at the start of the track, soon to be filled in with warm synthesizer tones up front. Piano parts delicatly spread across the front channels as listeners are fully encompassed with the slow moving dark moody piece.
His debut single released in 2021 “Heat Death” clocks in at nearly five minutes. This sprawling track features a Yamaha C7 grand piano delicately navigating through an angry ocean of distorted synthesizers along with a variety of instruments touching multiple genres including: dark ambient, electronic rock, avant-rock and post-progressive. Like his latest work, Delbridge digs deeply into the surroundscape fully encompassing the sweet spot with rolling tones, open ambience, and rumbling bass. Heat Death represents five years of labor after Delbridge retired his Internet hosting company to pursue music full-time,
